Guests are welcome to our facilities under conditions that assure the safety of the guests and our members, and that will protect our Park and its facilities.
Use of the Rifle/Pistol and Archery ranges does not deplete the assets of the Chapter since members bring their own targets and ammunition/arrows. The shotgun range charges for the clay targets used, and shooters bring their own ammunition. Our major concern is for safety.
The lake is only open to non-members during specific public events, since removal of fish would represent depletion of the fish stock (fishermen generally do not bring their own fish.) We periodically stock the lake with trout - particularly in advance of public events. Both members and guests must comply with Virginia fishing license requirements.
Facilities that are used by members, guests or renters must be left in the same condition as they were found.
Members may bring up to two guests at a time onto the WIWL Ranges. To do so they must have gone through Range Qualification training, sign their guests in at the Chapter House using the form at right, and assume full responsibility for the actions of their guests.
The WIWL facilities may be reserved for Group Activities. Members are required to post a $100 cleaning deposit.
Non-Members may rent our facilities for activities and under conditions approved by the Board, with an agreed rental donation to support maintenance of our facilities.
